Parks and playgrounds we love in Davenport-Bettendorf

By Sierra Ann, Editor and Publisher of Macaroni Kid Davenport - Bettendorf, IA May 16, 2021

We are lucky in Davenport-Bettendorf to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls and water features, Davenport-Bettendorf parks and playgrounds keep my son active and are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends!)

I often get asked what our favorite playgrounds are, so I thought I'd share here with you my family's picks for our top five playgrounds and parks to visit in Davenport-Bettendorf.

Locations are listed alphabetically:

Crow Creek Park

4701 Devils Glen Rd.
Bettendorf, IA 52722

What we love about Crow Creek Park:

What I love most about Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf is the ingenuity of the playground.
Not only does it have a rock wall, but the equipment also challenges kids in balance and strength.
It's also bright in color which is as attractive as it is interactive!

Amenities at Crow Creek Park

What's so special about Crow Creek Park is its versatility in activities.
If you have older kid(s), they can try out new tricks at the skate park while you entertain your little one(s) at the playground.
It also has the cutest little dog park where you and your family can play with your pup(s) before or after playing on the equipment.
(An added bonus is the handicap swing!)

Fejervary Park

1800 W. 12th St.
Davenport, IA 52804

What we love about Fejervary Park:

Fejervary Park in Davenport is also a learning center inspired by Mother Goose herself.
This park is a seasonal facility that is open from May 18 - October 16 on Tuesday - Friday from 10a - 6p and Saturday - Sunday from 12p - 5p and is closed on Mondays.

Amenities at Fejervary Park

Because Fejervary Park is an interactive learning center, the play areas are nature-based and organized through nursery rhymes.
There is the Harmony Park section with outdoor musical instruments, the Itsy Bitsy Spider Station water play area where you can learn about conservation and so much more.
This park is a must-go and honestly one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

The sports court is also large and contains basketball hoops, a volleyball net, and a tennis net, as well as the game 4-square.

Amenities at McManus Park

McManus Park is definitely known for its double playground, one with a sand surface and the other with mulch.
This park also has a separate sand play area with equipment to assist in digging, as well as a neat little flower garden.
The entertainment is endless at McManus Park!

Amenities at Middle Park

Middle Park in Bettendorf has it all!
With several entrances and parking, you're guaranteed to get a close spot to where you're going because this place is massive.
