Kid Craft: Popsicle Stick Creations

Perfect for holiday or everyday afternoon crafting!

Popsicle sticks are one of the most versatile crafting mediums.
They come in various sizes so your kids can create (almost) anything they can imagine!

All of these supplies can be purchased at the dollar store!

Supplies:

Required:
Optional:
Popsicle sticks in various sizes (small / medium / large)
Construction paper in many colors
Paint and paintbrushes
Googly eyes in various sizes
Markers
Pom-pom balls
White glue
Feathers
Scissors
Pipe cleaner in many colors






Inspiration:

  Snowman
  Leprechaun Hat
  Penguin
  Pumpkin
  Snowflake
  Ladybug
  Spring Chick
  Monster
  Bunny
  Fireworks






Directions:

1. Choose a design either from the inspiration above or create your own!
2. Paint sticks or use markers to color.
*while the sticks dry, cut out shapes using scissors and construction paper, bend the pipe cleaner, etc.*
3. Glue 1-2 sticks to the back near the top and bottom to hold all sticks together
*you may need to break them if they stick out on the top or sides*
4. Add the embellishments - i.e. googly eyes, feathers, pipe cleaner, etc.

Hang them up during the holidays by hot-gluing magnets to the back to stick on the fridge or string yarn through them to make a cute ornament.
These are also great gifts for friends or family!
