Summer camps are a great time for Davenport-Bettendorf kids to try new things, nurture unique interests, meet new friends, stretch their creativity, and have tons of summer fun! Davenport-Bettendorf summer camps range from toddler programs to high school senior classes and camps, so you're guaranteed to find something on this list that your kid(s) will be excited about!

   Theatre Camps    





Davenport Junior Theatre
Improv

Comedians and public speakers aged 7 - 18 are asked to "think on the spot" in this 8-week session improvisation class. Students will gain knowledge and experience in the art of comedy performed through games and exercises helping to develop adept thinking and creativity.

Camp Dates: June 17 - August 12

The Spotlight Theatre
Technical Theatre Camp

Student in grades 7-12 who are interested in the backstage of cinematics are encouraged to join Summer Arts at Spotlight Theater. During this two-week camp, teens are taught what goes on behind the scenes such as makeup, lighting, props and more. The one-act cast of "Freaky Friday" will work with students in preparation for their performance at the end of camp.

Family Museum
Camp Rainbow (Section B):
Not just somewhere over the rainbow, but at the Family Museum, your toddlers will be going on an adventurous color hunt and creating masterpieces inspired by the rainbow! Artists must be fully potty trained and age 3 by June, 1 2021

Bettendorf Parks & Recreation
Tot Lot - Circus!
This program meets at Veterans Memorial Park near the VMP Bandshell Shelter. Toddlers get the perfect warm weather treat from Kona Ice on Tuesday and the circus comes to town on Thursday when the park is scattered with bounce houses! (Children must be at least 3 but less than 6. Last day to register is July 29.)

Quad City Botanical Garden
Eco-Kids Camp

 This weeklong morning camp is filled with nature-based learning crafts and activities for kids aged 5-12. Campers will explore the gardens of the center every day in search of plants and animals while learning about their habitats and how to protect them. Camp-goers will study conservation and environmental challenges as well as have fun in the dirt, with water and under the sky. (Limit of 25 campers. Guests are required to wear a mask inside and outside at the Botanical Center at all times.)

Figge Art Museum
Camp Figge - Art for Kids
Kids ages Pre-K - 8th grade are invited for week-long sessions that encourage self-expression by experimenting with different media, spark imagination with guided tours of the Figge collection and engage in critical thinking by taking part in studio discussions and so much more. All supplies are included with registration fee! (Masks are required at all times inside the museum and social distancing will be observed)

Quad City Botanical Center

Eco-Art Camp

This weeklong morning art camp encourages young artists between the ages of 5-12 to discover nature from an artist’s POV. Camp-goers will create artwork using various mediums, inspired by their environment discovered in the center's garden. Campers’ artwork will be displayed at QCBC's "Art In the Garden" event on August 1 and artists will receive passes to attend their exhibition! (Limit of 25 campers. Guests are required to wear a mask inside and outside at the Botanical Center at all times.)

Level II Youth Strength Camp: Session I
Level II Youth Strength Camp: Session II

If your kid(s) have little to no knowledge in strength training or they are already an athlete looking to gain more knowledge and motivation, this strength camp will provide education for both! Kids will learn "positive body image, injury prevention techniques and proper body mechanics."
